Growing up across different parts of the Arab world, I’ve always marveled at our rich tapestry of traditions, folk dances, customs, and dialects. Every village or town carries its unique flavor of Arabic, shaped over generations. Yet amid this diversity, we are bound by a shared language and common cultural threads. These bonds form the backbone of our identity, deep, resilient, and ever-present, even when expressions and idioms differ widely from one region to the next.
I was raised believing that Arab nations are like a family, brothers and sisters meant to stay united. That idea ignited a flame of hope within me, a hope that still burns bright decades later. During my university years, gathering with fellow Arab students, playing Tarneeb late into the night, sipping tea, and preparing for exams instilled in me a profound sense of belonging. As I advanced through my career, this connection deepened. One of my first jobs out of college was with a company run by George, a second-generation Syrian Arab. His generosity, offering a hand to a young engineer in the early 1990s, not only launched my career but also shaped my belief that unity extends well beyond social bonds into professional solidarity. After spending ten years there, I came to understand that this spirit of support is both personal and business-critical. George’s kindness was something I could never fully repay, so I vowed to pay it forward, helping Arab professionals find meaningful opportunities whenever I could.
This conviction led me to co-found ArabBusinessEnterprise.org, a platform dedicated to uniting Arab entrepreneurs and professionals through mutual support, collaboration, and growth. At its core, the organization offers a Minority-Owned Business Certification, which helps qualify Arab-owned companies for government and corporate contracts reserved for diverse suppliers. This certification not only grants credibility but also opens doors to exclusive procurement channels and networking opportunities .
Beyond certification, Arab Business Enterprise fosters a vibrant global network of Arab entrepreneurs and professionals. Members gain unbeatable access to mentorship, career development, collaborative projects, educational workshops, and strategic partnerships, whether through co-hosted events or direct communication channels. In addition, the platform is committed to equipping its members with cultural insights and resources tailored to the nuances of Arab markets, whether it’s navigating business etiquette or understanding local customs, ensuring that members are strategically prepared to thrive.
When you become part of this network, you’re stepping into a circle of mutual empowerment. Certified members benefit from national recognition and visibility among key decision-makers in both the public and private sectors.
Imagine what we can achieve together. By growing this network, calling on Arab entrepreneurs, professionals, friends, and family to join, we weave a support system that spans borders. As our numbers grow, so does our collective strength. Through collaboration, mentorship, and shared opportunity, we can make this community not just regional, nor just national, but truly global in both reach and impact.
Let’s build this together.
